The Presence
Certain encounters produce a rare kind of silence. Not because words are absent, but because something between two people becomes unmistakably clear.
A gaze can hold what language often skirts around. Small shifts, involuntary lingering, brief interruptions. There are moments when someone reveals more by trying to hold themselves back than by trying to explain themselves.
No presence is ever entirely under our control. At some point, something slips through.
